Our Principal

Dear colleague, parents, students, alumni and well-wishers, Our institute has crossed the Golden Jubilee and we are already on the threshold of a major milestone. It becomes an occasion to rededicate ourselves to the noble values cherished by our former late legendary Shri Biju Patnaik, who had a vision of producing quality technicians from this institute.

During these 58 years from 1966-2024, the world has changed, the industrial portfolio has changed and some of our former dedicated Principals, teachers, non-teaching staff, alumni and well-wishers have lost their lives. Let us pray for them and also for their hard work which has made this institution a leading centre for industrial training in the state based on quality aspect.

This is the only Govt. ITI of Angul district with 14 different popular trades and 53 units at present, having good employment opportunities. This institute is also imparting short-term courses like MES programme, CNC programming and training to the land outsees of nearby industries with the help of  46 teaching faculty  and 22 non-teaching staff.

The students of this ITI have been consistently contributing to the image of the institute through their outstanding performance in the state level competition. They are also getting employed in different public sectors through national level competition.

The pass outs of this ITI have been placed in various organizations like Indian Railways, Delhi Metro, HAL, SAIL, NTPC, NALCO, BARC, DRDO, TATA Motors, Hero Honda Motor Cycle etc.

The emerging system of skill education in this institution demands an increased importance of skill honing so that the students become more employable. The institution gives them a platform to acquire the necessary soft skills and analytical trade skills. Now-a-days, aptitude tests, interviews, personality tests and communication skills have become essential part of any selection process, to which our students are being trained. The students here are provided with the facilities like computer lab, Communication lab, CNC lab for strengthening their co-curricular activities.

Therefore, we have developed a new culture of innovation and hard work with a firm desire and determination to achieve our goals of producing QUALITY TECHNICIANS. In order to pursue the same, one has to be punctual, systematic, humble, sincere and honest. Keeping this in mind, let us join hands to forge towards an era of industry ready, skilled workforce who will be ready to tackle any hardship and face the world fearlessly.
